Chappy`s in Westcliffe

So glad they were open! Terrific burgers, spicy chicken salad and great service. Had to walk around town because we were so full.

The place where the local crowd hangs out!!! They treat you like family!!! My addiction is the chicken nachos!!!! I always look at it and say oh my word!!! It's a half order!!!!

We are on vacation and heading from Dallas, TX to Ouray in Colorado we stopped here for dinner, I got steak and my wife got a salad, it was a wonderful place with wonderful people who are working there, I really enjoy my dinner, the taste was good the table was super clean the interior decorations was amazing,

What a hidden gem!!! It's a small, quaint bar & grill. One of the best burgers I have had. The fries are addictive. Charlie was our server, she was friendly & attentive & down-to-earth.

The food is good but the female cook is complaining about her boss or whatever Sue's complaining about everytime I come here... like loudly complaining and I'd prefer not to have my food cooked by someone so negative. Love is the secret ingredient and I'm afraid she's sprinkling the food with misery.

I love everything on the menu! And the beer choices are good as well. Everything is cooked on an open flame, the hamburgers, steaks, and chicken. How could that be wrong? See you soon!

Great service that was extremely friendly. Me and my brother came from penrose just for one of their burgers. They never disappoint at all with their food. I enjoyed their food and had to take some home for later. I will recommend anyone to stop here for a burger at least once or in our case; Several times!

Stopped in on a Thursday afternoon and the place was busy. Very friendly knowledgeable staff. Great atmosphere, great food. If you're hungry, this is a must stop. A definite redo for me! Kudos to Alyssa.

After a long day hiking, found this great bar and grill. Amazing burgers and some decent beer on tap. Even had some live music before we hit the road for home. Nice find and will remember for next time.

My wife and I were looking for a place to have an 11am lunch. The BBQ place next door was still closed, so we went next door to Chappys. Cool place! An open fire grill to cook your burgers! Good menu selection at decent prices. Service is friendly with some TVs for the big game!

Do not get the Slopper. It is a slopper only in the most technical sense. It is an open face burger with canned green chilies dumped on top. It is not green chili as it should be.

We had a big crowd, and they accommodated us smoothly. Our server, Sam, was very attentive. Burgers were fantastic. Nice selection of sides, great location, and shaded outdoor dining option.

I was blown away by the bite me burger, it was phenomenal! I cannot wait to come back and try everything else! The nachos looked top notch and are first on my list!

Perfectly cooked steak! Great food everytime. Was blown away after recently ordering 3 New York Strip steaks to go. Everyone was was a perfect well-seasoned medium rare! Chappy’s does steak better than many steakhouses I’ve been to!

This place is the ideal place in a small town. The food is amazing, and the staff is full of joy and laughter. The ambiance is low key and very outdoorsy feel. The bite me sauce is delicious and ask to add green chili to the rancher burger to truly experience food nirvana.

I don't understand how this place has a 4.5 rating. My initial impressions of the place were not good. It looked run down, unkempt, and dirty, and that turned out to be true. The table we sat at had a bad wobble. Two of the chairs around our table were also broken. The menu has very few options, and you're pretty much forced to get a burger. The burger was not cooked medium, but rather medium rare. The fries were limp and soggy. I just don't get it. I had a hard time finding anything positive about this place. The waitress was quick which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1, but I will absolutely not be coming back.

The food was great. The wait staff was not. The older grey haired lady forgot a side that was to be with a meal and then charged us for an extra side that I did. But what she did not understand is that we were short one side. My remedy was to substitute another beer, which is $3.74 to take care of the extra $5.00 charge for the (extra) side. And then did not offer another remedy after she turned down that idea.

Food was excellent! They were busy when we ate there but the service was still great. If you go, you gotta try their fries! The fries are freshly cut when you order them. Great atmosphere and food selection.

Just stopped here, was just passing through westcliffe. THEY ARE OPEN FOR CARRY OUT! A local guy raved about the burgers so I ordered one with bacon and a fried egg, the burger and the fries were absolutely delish. Friendly server. Best of luck to you in this unprecedented time.

An hour after we ordered 2 burgers, we left. We were told a bunch of orders came in at the same time but there were 4 of us there waiting. I don't think 4 orders is exactly a rush.

6 oz. steak, salad, side of house made Mac and cheese, jalapeno poppers. Food was great! Cooked on grill right in behind the bar. Cozy little spot. Recommend if you roll through Westcliffe!

The food is so good! Even with a packed dining room my food came out very fast and delicious. The wait staff is polite and professional. Try the "Bite me" sauce omg it's so good!

The food and service were great! COVID has caused them to drastically reduce seating. Reservations are recommended until they go back to normal.

Awesome little spot. Food was on point with one snaffu; my steak salad was all gristle basically. But they made it right on the bill. My friends mushroom burger was over the moon!! Busy place with a REALLY nice staff and atmosphere. Symphony; our server was awesomely attentive and made the experience sweeter.

Chappy’s has the most delicious burger I’ve tasted in Colorado bar none. The restaurant is extremely clean and nicely outfitted, my personal favorite on their menu is the bronco burger which comes with blue cheese, bacon and their bite me sauce which is spicy and very delicious. Overall a clean, nice restaurant with good food and very good service.

This place smelled awesome from walking in! We ordered takeout and it took about 30 minutes. The Bronco burger (blue cheese, bacon, buffalo sauce) was amazing!! Next time we're in Westcliffe we will definitely be stopping again!
